If you’ve landed here, chances are you’re either planning your own Hatfield House wedding, or you’ve just stumbled across one of the most show-stopping weddings I’ve had the joy of capturing. Either way, welcome! I’m Meg, a Surrey-based wedding photographer with a love for relaxed, beautiful celebrations. I’m so excited to tell you all about Beatrice & Callum’s epic day, and show you some stunning Hatfield House wedding photography too of course!

Hatfield House Wedding Venue

Let’s start with the venue. Hatfield House is one of those places that genuinely makes your jaw drop the second you arrive. Nestled in over 250 acres of Hertfordshire countryside, it’s a total fairytale dream with grand architecture, elegant interiors, and perfectly manicured gardens. Whether you’re saying “I do” in the charming Old Palace or dancing the night away in the Riding School, this luxury wedding venue has drama, elegance, and timeless style by the bucketload. It’s one of those venues that looks good in every season, every light, and every angle, you just can’t go wrong!

As a Hatfield House wedding photographer, I can safely say this venue is an absolute gem. There’s history, character, and such a variety of backdrops. Every couple can truly make the space their own, and Beatrice & Callum absolutely did just that.

Beatrice & Callum’s Wedding at Hatfield House

Where do I begin with these two? Beatrice and Callum’s wedding was nothing short of iconic! From the moment they booked me, I knew this was going to be a good one. Beatrice had what I can only describe as the most incredible wedding dress I’ve ever seen, and believe me, I’ve seen a few! It had a high collar, long sleeves and beautiful details. Plus, she also had a second dress for the evening that was just as stunning!

The whole day had such incredible energy, and their wedding was filled with so much fun, emotion, and personality. The Function Band were the icing on the cake. If you’ve never seen them in action, they’re basically guaranteed to get every single guest (yes, even the reluctant dancers!) up on their feet. The evening reception was an incredible party, and the dance floor was packed all night.

My Favourite Hatfield House Wedding Photography Moments

There were so many highlights from Beatrice & Callum’s wedding day, (too many to list!), but here are a few of my favourites:

Couple portraits. Of course, this is always one of my favourite parts of a wedding, but at a venue as stunning as Hatfield House it’s even better! We were truly spoilt for choice with gorgeous locations.

Candid moments. From champagne clinks to proud parent hugs, there was so much genuine joy to capture throughout the day. I love documenting weddings as they unfold, with every special moment frozen in time.

The dress change. When Beatrice appeared in her second gown, jaws hit the floor. She looked unreal, and it was the perfect party outfit. A second outfit gives you a lot more variety in your wedding gallery too!

The Function Band’s entrance. Talk about getting the party started! Guests were instantly on their feet and having the best time ever. Investing in fantastic live music is so worth it for the most incredible atmosphere!

Why you need an Engagement Photoshoot…

Now we’re going to rewind a bit to before Beatrice & Callum’s wedding. One of the reasons they felt so at ease on the day, was because we’d already spent time together for their engagement photoshoot. It was such a lovely experience, giving us a chance to get to know each other more, laugh a lot, and get those “what do I do with my hands?” nerves out of the way.

By the time the wedding came around, we weren’t just working together, we were besties! And that really does make such a difference. Engagement sessions aren’t just about having cute photos (although, huge bonus!) They’re a brilliant way to build trust so come the big day, you feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely excited to have your photos taken. Beatrice & Callum felt totally themselves, and it shows in every image!
