A more sustainable approach to wedding photography, with intention
behind every choice

sustainability

As a wedding photograher, sustainability matters deeply to me because I want to move through the world intentionally and create work that inspires people.

For me, being a sustainable wedding photograher is about making thoughtful choices, improving where I can and building a business that reflects the values I live by.

Everything I do carries intention. That intention is: Leaving places, people and experiences feeling better than they did before.

Photography holds so much meaning because it protects memories, preserves family history and creates something that lasts. But alongside this, I believe the way I run my business should also feel responsible, conscious and carefully considered.

My sustainability pledge

What I do and why

Conservation matters to me personally. This is why I support the Sheldrik Wildlife Trust

Animals and conservation have shaped so much of how I see the world.

One organisation especially close to my heart is the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

I have visited the trust twice while in Kenya, and last year had the privilege of photographing the elephants, their stories and the extraordinary relationship they have with their keepers.

Being there in person changes you. You see the care, patience and devotion that goes into protecting orphaned elephants and preparing them for life back in the wild. The bond between each elephant and their keeper is something incredibly moving to witness.

That experience stayed with me deeply, which is why conservation is something I actively support through my business.

I believe small choices made concistantly matter

this means looking carefully at how my vusiness operates, where resources are used, who i work with, what i invest in and how i continue improving over teime.

My goal is always to create beautfily work while redcuing unnecessary waste, supporting meaningful causes and choosing auslity over excess where possible.

Its about intention, responcibility and continuing to do better.

The choices behind my business are made carefully.

Some of the ways I work more consciously include:
  • Delivering galleries digitally to reduce unnecessary printing
  • using album and printing suppliers in the UK who handmake their products
  • Gifting with every package a 1-year elephant adoption to help orphaned elephants in Africa.
  • Investing in quality equipment that is well-maintained and built to last
  • Reducing unnecessary travel where possible through thoughtful planning
  • combining journeys efficiently across bookings and meetings
  • Limiting unnecessary packaging and posting, and using plastic-free packaging and gifting to clients
  • supporting venues and suppliers who also value sustainable practices
  • Renewing my business decisions regularly so I'm always improving.
For me Sustanability is also about emotional value

Creating photograhs that are treasured, printed, passed down and kept safe matters far more than prodcuing work that dissapears quickly. The most sustanable things are oftern the things we keep because they continue to matter.

With every full-day wedding package, I gift each couple a one-year elephant adoption through the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

Each couple chooses an elephant of their own.

It feels like such a meaningful way for your wedding day to also support something bigger, with regular updates about your adopted elephant throughout your first year of marriage.

A celebration rooted in love can also contribute to care, protection and long-term impact elsewhere in the world.

For many couples, it becomes one of the most unexpected and loved parts of booking.
